In 2025, wheat trials under real grasshopper pressure proved it—dual-mode SILENCER® DUO delivered performance equal to or better than competing products 100% of the time.
ADAMA worked with a third-party lab to test SILENCER® DUO (Chlorantraniliprole + Lambda-cyhalothrin) against a Solo CTPR product like COSAYR® or Coragen®; a Solo Pyrethroid like SILENCER® DUO, Matador® 120EC, or Pounce® 384EC; and a competitive combination product in Voliam Xpress® (Lambda-cyhalothrin + Chlorantraniliprole). In this third-party run trial, SILENCER® DUO delivered rapid, long-lasting grasshopper control—achieving 90% control within one day, reaching 100% control faster than competing products, and maintaining superior control through 11 days after application.

Instead of waiting for grasshoppers to feed to die, you can stop them before they cause any visible feeding damage. This fast action, combined with extended residual control, helps protect yields in the most efficient way possible.
For growers currently using a solo pyrethroid (e.g., Pounce® 384EC, Decis®, Matador® 120EC), SILENCER® DUO can still provide the quick knockdown that hits exposed grasshoppers right away, but it also provides ingestion activity. This not only gives added control to the grasshoppers that are hiding, feeding later, or migrating into the field, but it results in longer protection, less feeding damage, and higher yields.

ADAMA also worked with a third-party lab to test SILENCER® DUO (Chlorantraniliprole + Lambda-cyhalothrin) against Solo CTPR, Solo Pyrethroid, and Voliam Xpress® products in canola.
In this trial, SILENCER® DUO stood above the rest, delivering the greatest reduction in feeding damage while limiting defoliation to just 20%—the lowest of all products tested. These results clearly showcase SILENCER® DUO's unmatched ability to protect crops by dramatically reducing flea beetle damage and visible injury.
