It is recognised as one of the leading actives to control apple scab. - Apples: Scab, Bitter Rot and Sooty Blotch - Potatoes: Early Blight & Late Blight - Blueberries: Mummy Berry ### KEY BENEFITS - Broad-spectrum, non-systemic contact fungicide that acts immediately to penetrate fungal spores.  - Acts primarily as a protectant that offers a different mode of action, which is ideal for resistance management.   - Multi-site contact activity attacks fungal protein-containing thiols (-SH groups), interfering with several chemical processes, metabolism and cell division ultimately preventing spores from germinating. ### HOW IT WORKS CAPTAN is a non-systemic fungicide meaning it is not absorbed into the plant. It creates a protective barrier on the surface of the leaves and fruit that prevents fungi from entering. CAPTAN blocks the ability of fungus to produce energy which eliminates it over time*.* ### Key Crops - Apples - Pears - Grapes - Blueberries - Fruit Crops - Potatoes - Vegetables   ### Other Benefits - NEW convenient liquid formulation ### RELATED DOCUMENTS [![CAPTAN Tech Sheet](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/EAST-Thumbnail-Sheets-172x203-CAPTAN.png) CAPTAN Tech Sheet](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/EAST-EN-CAPTAN-Tech-Sheet-ADAMA-2025-8.5x11-DIGITAL.pdf?hsLang=en-ca) [![Blueberry Tech Bulletin](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/adama-all-in-assets/thumbnails/BLUEBERRIES-Thumbnail-Sheets-172x203.png) Blueberry Tech Bulletin](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/2024_Blueberries%20One-pager_V6%20(DIGITAL)-1.pdf?hsLang=en-ca) [![Apple Tech Bulletin](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/EAST-Thumbnail-Sheets-172x203-Apple-OnePager.png) Apple Tech Bulletin](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/OnePager-EN-2026-Apples-8.5x11-DIGITAL.pdf?hsLang=en-ca) ![All in on fungicides](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/Imported%20images/all-in-on-fungicides.png) ## More Bang For Your Buck ![Web-Graphics-ADAMA-Product-SORATEL-500x300-REV2](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/Web-Graphics-ADAMA-Product-SORATEL-500x300-REV2.png) ### Soratel® #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/soratel?hsLang=en-ca) ## Get An Early Bump In Protection ![Web-Graphic-ADAMA-BUMPER-432-EC-Main-Content-Product-box-200x200-REV1](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/Web-Graphic-ADAMA-BUMPER-432-EC-Main-Content-Product-box-200x200-REV1.png) ### Bumper® 432 EC #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/bumper-432-ec?hsLang=en-ca) ## RIP FHB ![Web-Graphics-ADAMA-Product-SORADUO-500x300-REV3](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/Web-Graphics-ADAMA-Product-SORADUO-500x300-REV3.png) ### Soraduo™ #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/soraduo?hsLang=en-ca) ## The Cereal Leaf Disease Specialist ![Web-Graphic-ADAMA-CUSTODIA-Main-Content-Product-box-200x200-REV1](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/Web-Graphic-ADAMA-CUSTODIA-Main-Content-Product-box-200x200-REV1.png) ### Custodia® #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/custodia?hsLang=en-ca) ## The head-to-head cereal trials winner ![product.orius](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/product.orius.png) ### Orius® 430 SC #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/orius-430-sc?hsLang=en-ca) ## Preserve and Protect ![Topnotch product box](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/Web-Graphic-ADAMA-Main-Content-Product-box-TOPNOTCH-200x200-REV2.png) ### Topnotch™ #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/topnotch?hsLang=en-ca) ## Upgraded Disease Protection ![Web-Graphics-ADAMA-Product-MAXENTIS-500x300-REV2](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/Web-Graphics-ADAMA-Product-MAXENTIS-500x300-REV2.png) ### MAXENTIS® #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/maxentis?hsLang=en-ca) ## ![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/raw_assets/public/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/Group%2012.png) Resistance Management Tool ![AA012_Vantana_2x10_Low_02](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/AA012_Vantana_2x10_Low_02.png) ### VANTANA™ #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/vantana?hsLang=en-ca) ## Protect Your Bottom Line ![FOLPAN-80-WDG-Box-Low-Angle-HighRes](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/FOLPAN-80-WDG-Box-Low-Angle-HighRes.png) ### FOLPAN® 80 WDG #### Fungicide [![](https://simplicity.adama.com/hubfs/22adas2642-fungicides-2023/arrow.svg)](https://simplicity.adama.com/all-in-on-fungicides/folpan-80-wdg?hsLang=en-ca)   Copyright © ADAMA ® ARMORY, ARROW, ARROW ALL IN, BADGE, BISON, BROMOTRIL, BUMPER, CORMORAN, CUSTODIA, DAVAI, ESTEEM, FOLPAN 80 WDG, FORCEFIGHTER, INVOLVE, LADDER ALL IN, LEOPARD, MAXENTIS, ORIUS, OUTSHINE, PHANTOM, PRIORITY, QUASAR, RUSH, SILENCER, SOMBRERO, SORATEL, SQUADRON, THRASHER and TOPLINE are registered trademarks, and ™ BRAZEN, DAVAI A PLUS, EMPHASIS, PYTHON, SORADUO, TOPNOTCH, VANTANA and ZIVATA are trademarks of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Canada Ltd.
